Through the internet I found beautiful images of desolate, decaying, neglected spaces…churches, hospitals, asylums, warehouses, railway stations. I was and am obsessed by the places we don’t see, not that they’re hidden, it’s just we passively ignore them. I then realised I was entering the realm of the urban explorer. I am now involved in online discussions, ethics and certain unwritten rules and I have to appreciate the ‘otherness' of this culture.

To reveal all and publicise these places and these people would be contradicting myself and the reasons why I love it. For myself, doing the research on the Internet is as much of the exploration as it is to go to the place, document and experience it.

I want to tell you everything I've found, the best links and the best places. But, I want you to find it. Explore and search for it as I have so you can experience it as I have. I categorise myself a photographer, more definitively; a reportage/documentary photographer. Exploring these 'lost' places means much more to me than a chance to take nice photo’s but photography brought me into this and so I have to try to do it justice. If you want to learn about it and find it you have to look for it, the links are hidden in this website...
